Can a school hold a report card of a minor child if the child was given fundraiser cards to sell, if the cards were lost? They want us to pay $120 for the lost cards when were weren't aware they cards were passed out?

The answer very likely depends on whether the cards were school property, or something that the school will have to pay for. Another consideration is whether the school is a public or private institution. If the school is a public school, the fundraiser probably is sponsored by the PTA, which provided the school with the cards to distribute.
