My 91 yr old father has dementia ( very bad). My sister who has power of atty will not have him declared incompetant because she wants to sell his house and she & my brother in law are planning on hiding the money in various safe deposit boxes. They are trying to hide the money from medicaid so mom & dad won't loose their current low income benefits. I am very afraid of what they are trying to do because i think it is criminal. My other siblings don't seem concerned about this. What should i do? Seems very much like fraud to me.

Why do you think you need your sister to take action to get a conservatorship or other necessary action? Go to an elder care lawyer in your area next week.
