My brother has power of attorney over my mother who has Alzheimers. Our father passed away two weeks ago and my mother is the inheritor. My brother wants to sell everything and put Mom in assisted living. He will not let me see the power of attorney document that was signed the last week of my father's life just as he came out of surgery. He will also not let me see the "new will." I would really appreciate your advice on how to protect my mother from her estate being abscunded instead used for her care.

You contradict yourself in your own post, so there's no way to respond.
You say:
(1) He is going to sell the assets of an Alzheimers patient and use the money to put her under care, which is usually very appropriate.
(2) You then "abscunded" (there is no such word).
(3) You then say he is not using the money for her care right after saying he is.
Which one is true and what do you mean by the non-existent word?
