my father passed away this year 2007 - my mom has everything in her name - she is 72 - if she has to have nursing home care can the state of ga. come in and take her home

Your post leaves out many, many details, such that it is impossible to answer. You don't say what you mean by "nursing home," who is paying for it, or why you think the State would take the house. We don't know what "everything" means. Based on your post, it is probably a very good idea that you encourage your mother to see a lawyer specializing in Elder Law to discuss all of the relevant issues and get a plan going forward.
