Legal Question in Elder Law in Georgia

someone please help me this has to do with my elderly mother!! my question is if anouther sibling says they have your mothers power of attourney yet hasn't proved it and theres no court record then how is it legal? my mother had a massive stroke a month ago and the nursing home is needing 3 months bank statements to get her approved for medicade or she can't stay there and she isn't able to speak for herself to sign a power of attourneyPLEASE HELP I CAN' T AFFORD TO HIRE AN ATTOURNEY BUT SOME THING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!

A power of attorney does not need to be filed in court, and generally the parties don't have to "prove it" to others. Given that you don't know the status of the POA, no one here knows, and apparently there is a pressing issue, it appears you do need an elder care lawyer ASAP to handle your mother's affairs, or at least figure out what is going on. A general information website like this is not going to resolve the issues.
