Company Name Rights
I am planning on starting a movie production company called ''Hand Sandwich Productions.'' But while browsing the net, there is a band called ''Hand Sandwich,'' and they have a sound studio called ''Hand Sandwich Company.'' If we decide to keep the name, is there any possible chance that the band/company named ''Hand Sanwich Co.'' has grounds to sue us? What are the legal parameters to keep in mind when coming up with a name for a production company. Thank you for any help.

Most likely they will send you a cease and desist letter and the, if you do not stop using the name, they can sue you.
