Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

In 2001 DFCS took my children. In 2002 I surrendered my rights to keep my children together. They were adopted by their fathers parents. Now both parents have passed away and in the will it states that the children's great Aunt gets them. They do not want to go with her. They want to be with me. Henry County Court house told me that I could get them back with an attorney. But I do not have the money for an attorney. What can I do to get them back with me where they want to be?

Surrenders in adoptions are not reversable after 10 days.

There might be a slim chance of seeking guardianship in this fact pattern, but it would be a slim chance, and frankly, without a lawyer, your chance would likely diminish to about zero.

Once you terminated your legal rights, the Will of the adopted parents controls. This is too complicated an issue to answer on-line. You really need to seek the advice of an attorney. If you try this on your own, you will more than likely fail.
