Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

On 21 May 09 I got divorce. The judge put in an order for my ex-wife repay approx $13,000 plus the return of all my personal belongings. She was to begin paying $250 a month starting 1 Jun 09, and continue each month till the debt was paid. I was then deployed to Iraq for six months and was told that I can not file contempt of court since I was unable to appear in court and represent myself. I have since returned from Iraq and would like to file a contempt of court.

This is where the situation gets "sticky". I have sinced found out that my-ex is on the run between GA and FL for check fraud. She passed approx $5,000 in bad checks. She currently doesn't have a good known address. What are my options? What can I do? Am I just out that 13,000 dollars?

**I have been in contact with her childrens father and he has been keeping me updated when she visits the kids.

You can file a case, but unless you can serve it, how do you exp[ect to collect? And bear in mind that if she doesn't have the money, a suit doesn't magically create it.
