Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I dont have 207 dollars to file my divorce the clerk of court said something about a affadavit for divorce that a judge can waive the fee. If that is true can you please tell me which form i have to fill out where i can get my divorce over please. Its for the state of Ga.

It sounds like you wre about to make an enormous mistake.

The $207 is just a filing fee, and although a courtt can waive it if you are a pauper (usually that means income under about $10,000 to $15,000 a year), that isn't the biggest concern.

You NEED to see an attorney to do things right. In most cases pro se divorces go horribly wrong, and it can cost more to fix them than to do it right.

The fact that you cannot locate a simple form many Georgia courts have online is a good warning that you should rethink how you plan to do your case.

I agree you shouldn't handle this alone. In fact, you should check with your county's bar association to see if they can direct you to an attorney or an agency.
