Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I have a 2 month old baby who was born here in georgia. Things are not goin well with his mother and i and she is from maryland. She has 3 other children but only has custody of one and the one child is currently not with her now. Their ages are 5 13 and 15. None of them are in school. The older two so call "home school theirselves" which means they still arent in school. Her mother wont give her custody back for many reasons. She has no job and ive been supporting her and my child. And the problem is she wants to take my 2month old from me back to maryland to in alot of ways a unfit household and pure out atmosphere. All her kids are girls except for him. Shes on methadone and has been on it for yrs. Im not giving her a bad name and its not my aim but the child would be taken care of and i have support and a layout on how i can and to prove my end and to prove the wrong in her tryin to take him. Her kids have issues and her mother doesnt care shes just on the power kick still and the mother of my child thinks she can just have kids and keep doing these so called "do overs" with kids and i dont want that for my son. He needs to be raised right. is there anything i can do

Until you hire a lawyer and legitimate the child you have no rights to the child. when and if you do that you can address custody and other issues in court.
You should legitimate the child right away. During the proceeding, you can seek custody based upon her background.
I am licensed in Maryland and Georgia and can assist you whether she moves to Maryland before you file or if you file before she moves out of state.
