Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I am 6 months pregnant. My husband left me last week to be with a girl he met at work. I am so hurt and lost, I decided I am moving out of state (from georgia to california) to go live with my family and give birth to the baby there. My husband told me because I am a student in school and I don't work, that he is going to take the baby from me. If I give birth to my baby in another state and am a full time student, can he really do that? I don't mind him coming to visit, but I don't want him taking the baby back to georgia if I am living in california. I know I can't support myself (my family agreed to support me and the baby 100% until I finish up my degree), but I have no criminal, or drug record. He has 3 domestic violence charges on his record within the last 5 yrs. Any advice/info would be great. thank you.

Step one: stop listening to what your jerk of a husband says. What he says is irrelevant. Be more concerned with what he does.
Second: get a lawyer. A good lawyer will likely be of enormous help to you.
