Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

We have a 17 year old girl living with us (my husband and I) it was agreed she could live with us by DFACS, they have since closed the case as she is in a safe place. She is an awesome softball player and could get scholorships for college but dad refuses to let her play ball since she does not live at home. She has been with us since October, dad has not called us to check on her or anything, he is just doing this to hurt her. Is there any thing we can do as her caregivers.

You'd have to discuss this with your lawyer (I assume you would not have even thought of taking in a child without first retaining a lawyer). What you can and cannot do depends on the custody order your lawyer obtained for you, and you should be discussing this with him.
