I am 62 years old married 40 years. My wife left me almost a year ago and now wants a divorce. I made 6000 dollars last year and have no assets. What can I expect I will need to give her.

There's no way to answer from what you posted. Ignoring that there is no crystal ball in divorces, you omitted many important details. Was anyone at fault? Do you have any minor children or even kids in college? Do you have any debts? How much does she make? Do you have a home? Do you have an ability to earn more than $6000?

One thing is certain - without a lawyer you can generally expect that things will go more poorly than with a lawyer. Retain counsel.
