Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I am 23 years old with a 3 year old daughter and have been married for the last 3 years. Me and my husband have not been getting along lately and feel that the only thing that we have in common anymore is our daughter. I love my husband but am no longer in love with him. The only thing that I am worried about is that fact that we bought a house about a year ago. He has horrible credit so I put the house soely in my name. I know georgia laws state everything is divided equally. But does that also mean the house. He does not have the means to pay for it, as he is on disability, due to a injury at work 3 years ago. I do not wish to fight with him over anything, but this house is my responsibility. Can he try to take the house? Or will I automatically be awarded it since it is in my name. I plan to have joint custody with him, if consuleing can not fix our marriage!

You state (incorrectly) that Georgioa law says everything is divided equally. That alone is a good reason to retain a lawyer.
Georgia has equitable division of assets (and debts) so get a good lawyer to protect your interests as to the property, debt and child.
