Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Abandoment

I have a son whos father left when I was still pregnant. I have tried going through Child Support Recovery (big mistake) and gotten nowhere. After 2 years, I do not even have an order for child support. I decided to drop the case and take out an abandoment warrant. Only problem is he has been activated for military service . this is why I do not have an order yet. I need an attorney to assist in this matter to not only take out the warrant, but to get an order. What should I expect with this, and could you help me?

Re: Abandoment

You may need some help presenting your case for an abandonment warrant at a pre-warrant hearing. As for getting a support order, you will need help just getting the matter before the court for a hearing. An attorney will be ale to help in that he or she will not have nearly the case load that child support enforcement has.
