Abandonment?

I am now 7 months pregnant with our first child together and my husband walked out on us. Does he have any responsibility to me and the baby financially while I am out on maternity leave? And should I file this as abandonment when I file for divorce? He has 3 other children that he pays a large amount of child support on and I am now scared that the will not pay enough to help me raise this child on my own. Should I file for divorce now or wait until after the baby is born?

You can go ahead and file whenever you want. Yes, he has financial responsibility to you and the child. And, yes, I would file on the grounds of abandonment.
