Act of bigamy

What if you unknowingly commit bigamy because you thought you were already divorced and you find out two years later that your final divorce decree was given 2 weeks after you got remarried what can you do?

Ignorance is not going to be a good defense where you should have known when the final decree was entered. It is not hard - check with your lawyer or the clerk's office before you commit bigamy. You should have never been married again until you had the filed and stamped decree in your hand.
