im looking to adopt my stepdaughter but her father will not give up his rights even though he hasn't see her in 4 years i've raised her since she was 6months old is there anything i can do? also i heard he will still have to pay child support and keep insurance on her is that true we live in georgia and he lives in arizona ive tried emailing him with no reply

When and if an adoption is granted his liability to pay support and provide insurance ends.
If he has failed to support and see the child, a court might terminate his rights and allow an adoption. If that is the case, call an adoption lawyer such as myself to get things going. My number is 404-768-3509.
