Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I adopted my stepson 15 years ago. Since he is now 23 years old, an adult and continues to mistreat myself and his Mother, I would like to know if I can unadopt him in the state of GA. This is the state I adopted him in. We simply cannot continue to tolerate him. Another issue is our estate, he is the only heir there is and we do not want him to inherit any of it. We are in the process of changing our will. Also, I no longer desire him to have my name. He has slandered it and us. What or is there a procedure to unadopt him and force him to get back his birth name?

Thank You

There is no such thing as "unadopting".

He is over 18. You don't need to unadopt him. If he is violent, you can seek a protective order. If he lives in your house, you can try to evict him.

Also, if you have a valid will or trust, the intestate laws don't apply. If you write him out of the valid will, he won't inherit anything.
