Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I agreed to pay ex spouse alimony for life two years ago. Since then she has remarried, husband is well off financial wise. Is it possible to have the court to rescind my alimony payments to her or have them reduced?

No one here can answer you without reading your papers. The attorney who represented you in the divorce has read your papers and can answer you. The answer depends completely on the language of the paperwork. Most alimony provisions automatically terminate on the remarriage of a spouse, so unless you had a bad lawyer, you may have such a provision already. Whether alimony is modifiable depends on the language of the agreement.

Again, call your lawyer (and hopefully you didn't make the financially and legally catastrophic mistake of being pro se, in which case her lawyer probably took advantage).
