Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Alimony Laws in Georgia

My husband is paying 30% of his check every week and has been for three years to his ex-wife, with whom

he has no children with. I want to know why a grown

woman can get all of this money and still draw disability and welfare. I was told by a local attorney

that we could ammend this and that there was a no

alimony law in GA. I have his only biological child.

what i want to know is how we can get out of paying this or even change the amount. I was told that you

could not take more than 10% of a persom patroll check

but she has been getting 30% for three years while our

family does without.

Thank You
