Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Alimony

I've been married for 6 yrs. & 10 mths. My wife has not worked at all during the marriage (because she says that she can't, but she has been denied by SSI due to lack of enough work credits). We have no children and the house that we live in we rent from my parents and it is in their names. Is she entitled to any alimony or spousal support for maintenance? If so, then for how much and for how long?

Re: Alimony

Predictions about you obligations to pay alimony are determined during the course of working with the attorney that you select to represent you.

Re: Alimony

Based on what you stated, I doubt that she would get much if any alimony unless your income is very substantial. Consult with a local attorney.
