Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex is in arrears for almost $8,000. I have made several attempts to get him to pay through a lawyers help but it seems like my lawyer isn't doing her job and expects me to handle most things when I paid her quite a lot of money to handle it. I have already filed more than 1 petitions to the court of contempt. Now, he is nowhere to be found to be served and so I am currently at a stand still. I am tired of paying so many lawyer fees only to have no results. I have raised my son by self with no monetary or physical help from this man for 5 1/2 out of 6 years of his life. I need this to be taken care of quickly.

Lawyers can't always work miracles, and the problem is the deadbeat dad and NOT counsel. Without him being found, nothing will happen, so keep looking. You might consider a criminal abandonment warrant. It's free. It may or may not help.
