Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I dont have a attorney and i owe on past due child support and now i have a court date but i spoke to the attorney from the other party and she said i wouldnt have to come to court if i paid the past due child support before court is that true?

How would we know? You have a Judge/Court telling you to come to Court for a hearing, and you are relying on what the other party's lawyer is telling you. I am not sure how you think lawyers on an anonymous internet site are supposed to guess what is going on in your case. Telling the Judge you read something on the internet won't be an excuse the Judge will accept for missing Court, and usually it is not an excuse that you relied on the other side's attorney.
