Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have an attorney just to start off this comment. My attorney has already attempted to get papers signed and my soon to be ex said he would sign them multiple times. My attorney finally went ahead and had my soon to be ex served with the papers he said he would sign again. He has missed his 30 day time to respond and it's now entering into the 15 day default response time so now he has to pay to file. He told my lawyer he may be moving from GA to the west coast. How can this affect the case? What if he doesnt sign? I know my lawyer will request a trial at the end of the month if he doesnt sign but how could his move affect the case especially if the judge were to grant me money he owes toward mutual debt that is in my name?

Since you have a lawyer who represents you, it would be unethical for anyone here to answer you. And since we have not seen the pleadings our answers, if we gave them, would be pretty useless. (And you're confused - since papers that are served are NOT signed, which happened?)

You have a lawyer. Rely on him or her.
