If you were awarded money in a divorce but your ex keeps telling you its sitting on the judges desk, (how long exactly does papers sit on a judges desk) how long should I wait

Why the heck would you believe your "ex?" You don't call the other side to find out what has happened in a case.

You call YOUR lawyer. (And if you don't have one, you call one immediately to find out if you have irreparably screwed up your case by making the mistake of being pro se).

You haven't been "awarded" anything if unsigned papers are on a judge's desk. A court order isn't an order without a signature.

You probably have ruined your case with not having a lawyer, but still see one just in case your mistakes are fixable.
