Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Back Support.

I have an interstate case with Texas (homestate) and Georgia (fathers state). I filed for support in Feb. of 2007, however no action was taken until September, in which an order was set to start on 11/01/07. I recently received a copy of the order and two things seem to be wrong. First off, there is no back support ordered. He stopped supporting in Jan of this year- so he owes ten months. Also, his fiance is the deputy who served him. I've tried contacting Georgia in regards to these problems, but have received no help whatsoever.

What options do I have to receive back support? We didn't have an order prior to this, because we had a local TX congresswoman set it up with his command when he was in the Marines years ago (Not an actual order).

My daughter is now three years old, and we're still awaiting child support (waiting on his employer).

What options do I have on behalf of my daughter in obtaining back support? Who can I contact?

Thank you!

Re: Back Support.

It is impossible to advise you without being able to review all the documents that have been entered in your case. Since you are in TX, a TX attorney MAY be able to review them and advise you. However, I think you really need to get them reviewed by a GA attorney.
