bottle rocket explodes in 8 yr olds face while on visitation with his father
My friends 8 year old son had a bottle rocket explode in his face while he was visiting his father. He was in a burn unit ICU for 4 days and had to undergo several surgeries and had to have pieces of the explosive surgically removed from his eyes. He is doing great but the doctors said for the first year he must not go outside without sunscreen and a hat at all times to protect the new skin. Recently on visitation with his dad he was severely sunburned on his face and upon his return to his mother she immediately took him back to the burn unit for evaluation and treatment. Since he is ignoring doctors orders she has refused to let the child visit with him since the sunburn incidence. He is threatening to sue for custody. She has limited income where the father on the other hand can easily afford a long drawn out court battle. What are her options?

If the mother can document what you say not only will the father probably not win custody but a court may well find that she was (and continues to be) justified in withholding visitation. Consult a local lawyer.
