Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Is there any case law on successful Alimony Modification in the state of Georgia? I went through a non-contested divorce and unknowingly, her lawyer added the clause "alimony for life" when I agreed to pay my ex half the number of years we were married. My mistake on not reading the decree.

Not reading a decree or buyers remorse is clearly not grounds for modification. Many decrees are written with language that bars modification, but if yours allows it the basis would have to be changed financial circumstances since the decree. Don't attempt it without counsel. This isn't an area where case law matters. The facts do.
