Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I would like to do a name change for my 7yr old son, he has my last name from before I became a naturalized citizen, I changed my last name. The father is not on the birth cerificate do I still have to go through the same procedure for a name change on a minor?

All name changes require a court case in Superior Court and all require notice to the father. In your county, they also require a court hearing.
