Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I got charged with a misdemeanor count of simple battery and two counts of misdemeanor fva. i pleaded guilty and met with the da and they set up a plea bargain. All this happened against my exwife. Now she said she talked to the da and had those misdemeanors changed to a felony. Can they do that after i already had my plea entered and a deal is being worked out.

This is more appropriately in the criminal law category, but the answer is pretty simple. Whether they "can" do it is not as important as the fact that they apparently did do it. It doesn't matter what we tell you here, since you now have felony charges. That means you get a lawyer to deal with it.
