Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Child Abandonment
If I was to file child abandoment charges against my daughter's father, what would happen? Would he still be able to get visitation rights. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Child Abandonment
Visitation and support are separate. If you violate a visitation order, even if a person is not paying support, expect a judge to popssibly jail you and possibly to do other things as well. Denial of visitation is often a good way to lose custody.
In an abandonment case, the other parent could be jailed for non-support.

He certainly could get visitation. Consult with a local attorney.
