Re: can i get my child back?

In Georgia, all children born out of wedlock must be legitimated by the father before the father obtains rights to the child. If the child has not yet been legitimated, you should contact local police officers and demand the return of your child. If the child has been legitimated, you should still do the same because you are the current sole physical custodian of the child until he obtains visitation and/or custody rights through the courts. Please contact a local attorney for further assistance.

Without a court order to the contrary, each parent has equal control over a child. You should contact a local attorney to discuss not only this issue but support and any other issues that might pertain to your situation.
