Child custady when x has filed for disability

My husband's x has filed for disability do to arthritis.Can he push for custody of his child concidering she is suppose to be disabled from arthitis ? The child is a 7 yr old boy ,and both step mom and dad are very cabable of caring for the child.

There's nothing in your post that allows an answer one way or the other.

Anyone can seek custody and there are many great parents who have arthritis.

In changes of custody a court must determine what is best for the child. In many cases, both parents have good qualities, so it's not something that could ever be answered with a sentence worth of background information.

Very simple advice: custodial parents spend way too much t9ime worrying about non-existant cases. If and when a case is actually filed, at that time, see a lawyer. Until then, there's not even a question to consider.
