how old does my son have to be to decied where he wonts to live?

At age 14, the child can state his preference. This will usually be honored by the court unless the parent he chooses is found to be unfit or if those living arrangements are deemed not to be in the child's best interest.

In GA, 14 is the age where he gets to decide, but the Court will take into account and consider the wishes of the child beginning at age 11. Always remember, however, that there are never absolutes in the law. The Court is ultimately after the best interests of the child.
