Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child Custody

I have a 9 year old step daughter. Her mother has custody but she has not lived with her mother since she was 2 years old. She has lived with her father and his grandparents until we married. Her mother just dropped her off and never returned. She has been staying with us and the grandparents. How do we go about getting custody of her turned over to us. According to her mother and my husband she is my husband's daughter but there has been no blood test done. They were never married. Please help us with this matter. She has went to stay the week with her mother to visit and her mother is bouncer her around to different houses and will not return our calls. Her mother doesn't work and is very unfit.

Re: Child Custody

You will have to file a motion for change of custody, and it sounds like you have a good chance of winning. You should contact an attorney for this as it is a complicated matter, and you will need good representation.
