Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

child custody/military service/interracial marriage /no where to go

In 97 my ex filed for custody of my 2 girls(13 and 10 now). Then they didn't want to live with me. We got joint custody. My ex married money and bought the girls anything I didn't like the girls living like that but I knew they had to see it on their own.I married and my husband is black.I retired last year filed for custody(13 yr old wants to live with me desperately 10 yr old doesn't) The case is being heard in Louisana. The race issue was allowed I was not allowed to visit with my girls while there for court.(I moved to find a job in GA)I have always been a part of my girls lives. My ex makes it hard to to be a mother to them but we do it My girls are very unhappy. It hurts me deeply.I'm proud of my military career. Now I have to defend it. I"m proud of my husband But,I have to defend his color. I never walked away from my children EVER. I had to support the girls.I really need help. I don't know where to go now.
