Child Legitimize
My son has a 4 yr old child with a girl that has 3 other children and 1 on the way. all by different fathers. we have always hasd my grandson in our life. but, it's a problem ea. time we go to pick him up. now, it's been 4-weeks. there is no phone to contact him nor will she let us. Please help. What can my son do along with us to get rights to him, he is also living in a unhealthy enviorment. My son has little money. please advise what we can do.
We are losing a lot of sleep, missing him.

I sympathize with you, as a grandparent I had the same problem. Unfortunately, in Georgia, grandparents do not have visitation rights so you have to be creative. Your son does have rights and when he has his son you can visit him. You also didn't mention if your son was paying child support, this may be important in proving his paternity which may become an issue. In any event, your son can file for permanent custody of the child and in doing so, get temporary visitation rights. It's not guaranteed that he will get custody, but, depending on the circumstances, should be able to get visitation rights easily.
