child neglect
This is a lot. sorry. Its about my 6 year old neice. My husband and I got custody of her when she was less than 2 years old. Her parents are both in an out of trouble. They split up. He is currently in prison. The mother took us back to court. she had a lawyer we didnt. she won her back. ever since then dfcs is constantly looking investigating her. she is back an forth with us an others. she is currently leaving her with us right now. but this has to stop. dfcs says she leaves her w/us so there is no neglect. i say something has to be done to stop this woman from picking up her child an going house to house. she has not kept a job, nor stable home since she got her back. she also gave up her younger son to her grandparents at birth. he is now 4 ''not nephew '' and my neice is about to have her 7th bd. please give me some advice. others say there is nothing to be done. the child is ok. but i dont want to wait until she is not ok then do something.

You've apparently already lost a case when you did not have a lawyer. If your concerned about the child's welfare, and are unsure what to do, get a qualified lawyer now to assist you. If you believe safety is an issue, looking for general responses on an anonymous message board is not the appropriate way to go.
