Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
What if the child was taken out of the private school for over a year and the parent is still collecting without our knowledge?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you pay child support, part of which goes to pay for private school. The child is no longer in private school and custodial parent and has been collecting the full child support payment despite that fact. If the above facts are correct, the parent who is improperly collecting the child support could be in big trouble -- that parent must document where all the money from child support goes, and if it turns out they were using the money for themselves instead of the child, the Court will not approve.
I recommend that you consult with a Georgia family law attorney about the specifics of your case and discuss what your options/rights are.

I disagree with Phillip's answer. Courts do not require accounting of child support in most cases and the recipient has broad discretion as to how to use the money.
However, if a divorce agreement or decree specifically designated an amount for the pupose of private school, then his answer might be correct.
