Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

child support

If a divorce reads under child support for 3 kids,

''the husband is responsible for the payment of child support for three children'' using the O.C.G.A 19-5-12,

and 19-6-15 and agreed to pay 32% of income. How is it computed when one of the three children have graduated and reached the age of 18? Shouldn't it be lowered?

Do you have to get an attorney to get this lowered?

The support in the divorce agreement is being paid out

weekly for 3 three children. Now, only 2 are under the age of 18. How does this get computed?

Re: child support

It depends on the wording of the settlement agreement. Usually, the support for the 18-year old stops at that age. You should have the agreement reviewed by a local attorney.
