Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Child Support Law
My husband ex-wife lied about being his being behind in child support and the DHR seized our joint state tax return and began garnishing his payroll, is there anything we can do? I have two children also that have been deprived by her actions. We also have cashed checks showing he was not behind on support for his child, since we were not notified he continued to pay directly to the mom until recently when we discovered she was being paid twice by us and the payroll garnishment. At this point w are already out of $1000.00.

Re: Child Support Law
You have the action for child support reversed by showing that he is not behind in payments. You may also consider filing a civil suit against the ex-wife for abusive litigation/malicious prosecution.
