Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child Support

I have a child support order in place and am having monies taken out of my check monthly. My arrears are high and now they are trying to garnish my wages, taxes and bank account. I was previously incarcerated and this is the main reason my amount got so high. Is there anything I can do to keep from having them garnish all of my accts and wages, and continue to pay as I have been?

Re: Child Support

Being in jail almost always results in arrearrages in child support. You will need to contact a local attorney to see if he/she can prevail on the judge to give you some relief.
