Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
child support
my ex has just quit her job and moved with my two children to live with her parents in SC. By doing this she has taken at least 52 days a year away from me and the added expense of traveling to get them on my vistitation. Do I have any rights to go back to ask and have support reduced mainly for the travel expense?

Re: child support
Absolutely, you have the right to go back to court and seek a modification of the visitation schedule in consideration of the fact that you are losing valuable time with your minor children and you may also request that you receive compensation for the travel expenses. Depending upon the facts of your particular case you may also seek to modify the custodial arrangement.
Re: child support
You may have to file a modification in the county of her residence unless your divorce court retained jurisdiction. Consult with a local attorney who can review your divorce papers.
