Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child Support

If I am receiving child support and the 18 yr. old child decides not to continue on her education in college or some other form of higher learning, will you still receive child support since Georgia states until 21 years of age Also, if that 18 yr. old were to move out of the primary custodial parent's house before she graduates from High School, is the child support still required to be paid? What happens if she decides to move in with her dad is he still required to pay the child support?

Re: Child Support

You need to have your decree reviewed by a local attorney. GA law generally allows child support to stop at age 18, but your decree will be the deciding factor. Child support is required until the termination dictated in the final decree, unless modified.
