Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child visitation

I am the father of an 18 mo. old daughter.I pay child support and want very much to be part of her life.I have never been married to the child's mother, but I had a paternity test, and I am the father. The mother will only let me get her every other Sunday.Because of the distance I have to drive, I only keep her 5 hours. Now she is moving again, which means I will only keep her 3 hours. What are my rights as to visitation, and how can I get them enforced? I would like to get her Fri-Sun., every other weekend. Thanks for your help.

Re: Child visitation

You have to file a petition for legitimation because your child was born out of wedlock. After the legitimation has been granted, you will then file a petition for visitation. Contact my office so that I can assist you in obtaining your visitation rights.
