Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I had a child 5 weeks ago and now his father (well, his parents) are taking me to court for joint custody. The father insisted from the beginning that I get rid of the baby, denied being the father, never participated in any doctors visits, the delivery, etc...even when invited; and he has never contributed even $1.00. His parents are pushing him to be involved and they want joint custody (1 wk on, 1 wk off) and they don't want to pay child support. They are wealthy and I can't afford and long drawn out legal battle. I want normal visitation (every other weekend and split holidays) and I want to receive child support from him.

Some other points:

- He lives with his parents. I live alone

- I was recently promoted at work. He was recently demoted.

You NEED a lawyer NOW. Let me stress that nothing in your life has ever been more important.

In the meantime, since he has gone 30 days without paying child support, how come hhave you not sworn out a criminal abandonment warrant in magistrates court and had him arrested?
