children
If a husband and wife are seperated but have not gone to see a lawyer yet about a divorce and custody issues can the mother keep the children away from the father until such time or does she have to let him see the kids.

Both parties have custody until a court rules otherwise so in most cases it will look very bad to a court that one parent hid the children. That should not be done except on the explicit advice of your divorce attorney. She doesn't "have" to do anything though unless a court rules; it just may be a dumb move on her part unless she can show very good cause.
