Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Two children receiving child support, what happens when one reaches 18?

I am receiving 28% for two children. One turns 18,then will graduate from HS 10 months later. Does the support continue until graduation? Also, the younger one has another 6 years until 18. How is the support modified when dropping one child?

Your answer depends on 2 things. One, when was the decree entered. Newer decrees mandate that child support continues until the child finishes high school. Second, the language of the decree will govern if child support is reduced after the first child turns 18. If you would like to call me I can help you determine the answers to your questions.
