Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

so my child's birth father has not been in the picture since day one. accually the day i told him i was pregnant he hung up in my face. he has been in drug rehab and all that good stuff for 8 month. so my boyfriend which has been here for the past year taking care of my son. wants to get all rights and change his last name from my last name to his last name. how do we do this?

That's a horrible idea. If your boyfriend were to adopt your child, you would lose all your rights.
